Royal London and St Bart’s Hospitals
Cole Jarman were commissioned to provide a detailed noise impact assessment as part of an Environmental Statement and to provide acoustic design advice for the large scale redevelopment of both The Royal London and St Bart’s Hospital sites. Extensive noise and vibration survey data was measured and collated to establish a clear baseline datum and noise source database.
Noise modelling was also used to assess the varying construction noise impacts associated with the complex phasing, duration and methodologies proposed. The noise from emergency and visitor vehicle movements, emergency helicopter movements and general hospital operations was also assessed.
