Detailed measurement of low level ground borne vibration in foundations of new building, which was to be used to house the latest generation of Nuclear Magnetic Resonance equipment for medical research.

Assessment involved visiting an existing facility to investigate the exposure of the equipment to vibration, assisting in the derivation of suitable design criteria.

The assessment resulted in the development of a highly isolated floor structure within the room to ensure adequate isolation from environmental vibration, as well as that generated by footfalls and mechanical services plant within the building itself.
