The company’s annual trip this year took place in Germany’s capital Berlin, an incredible city with a fascinating history.
The focal point of the trip was a visit to the prestigious Konzerthaus Berlin to watch performances from the Konzerthausorchester and virtuoso violinist Ray Chen. The Konzerthaus is said to be ranked amongst the top five symphonic concert venues in the world and is a stunning example of a”Shoebox” style concert hall. From an acoustical perspective, the concert hall certainly delivered, providing an excellent and highly enjoyable listening experience.
The weekend also gave the CJ team an opportunity to socialise, explore the city, and to learn a little about how Berlin has become the city it is today. The effects of two World Wars and the following Cold War can be seen everywhere, from its diverse mixture of architecture and it’s many landmarks and the stories behind them to the iconic Berlin Wall. Its challenging to go far without finding something of interest. The city today is vibrant, modern and liberal, a true pleasure to visit and I’m sure everyone from Cole Jarman who went would highly recommend it!
